About Downtown
Downtown Jacksonville is the business, cultural and entertainment center of Northeast Florida. The past few years have seen a tremendous revitalization of Downtown, with more than $2 billion in public and private investments ongoing or completed, including a new entertainment arena, a new baseball stadium, a new Main Library and a new Federal Courthouse.
To date, Downtown Jacksonville has more than 2,000 residential units available for purchase or lease, with an additional 495 under construction and more than 4,800 additional units proposed for development. Downtown also boasts more than 5.6 miles of riverfront, including 2.75 miles of river front trail.
Downtown is home to 56,000 workers, 1,200 businesses and the headquarters of two Fortune 500 companies. Downtown is the largest submarket in the region, with 6.8 million square feet of office space, as well 18,000 off-street parking spaces available to be leased by the public at hourly, daily or monthly rates.
As the cultural and entertainment center of the region, Downtown Jacksonville boasts more than 13 million visits per year. Downtown attractions include the Jacksonville Jaguars, the Jacksonville Suns, The Jacksonville Landing, Jacksonville Symphony, ten museums and galleries, ten entertainment venues, nearly 100 restaurants and the magnificent St. Johns River.
